Sawmill Log CuttingLazinka Sawmill Runs

See the journey of High Desert trees as they are turned from timber into lumber. See the sawmill's huge whirring blade up close. Learn how logs were worked by hand, and saw timber using tools from 100 years ago. Click here for dates.

 

Weekly Programs

Totally Touchable Tales: Tuesdays 11:00 a.m. 
Sensory-filled storytelling about animals and people of the High Desert.  You never know what will happen - crafts, puppets or maybe a live animal appearance!  

Wild Wednesdays!   3:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Do the High Desert Treasure Hunt!  Take a wild journey for clues and treasures throughout the Museum.    Ages 6 to 13.

 

Exhibits Just For Kids

Indoor:

Whose Home?  Play like a wild animal!
Come play at the newly redesigned Whose Home space in the mail hall of the Museum.

Outdoor:   Dig! Crawl! Climb!  Outdoor fun at this nature inspired play area.
